SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISING PARTY AT THE DEPOT
On Sunday, April 27, from 1 to 5, you are all invited to a live silent auction event held in the depot at 6 Broad Street, Cambridge. This event is taking place to raise funds to help offset the expenses associated with reopening the Depot and saving a landmark building in Cambridge.
There have been many improvements made already, and more need to happen in order to improve and maintain this amazing historic building.
Many community members have donated spectacular items to be auctioned. If you’re a fan of local art, you’re in for a treat, George Van Hook, Virginia McNeice (donated by her family) Matt Chinian, Julie Duggan, and Gena Semenov have all donated artworks. Local artisans and makers Golden Earth Designs, Lodestar Lights and Adina Daar, among others, have donated beautiful and unique handcrafted pieces.
There are also antiques and collectibles, housewares and jewelry, gift certificates from local businesses, services and musicians …something for everyone to bid on!
The Depot won’t be serving drinks or food for this party, but there will be snacks, and attendees are free to bring beverages of their choice. Bob Webb, our favorite brunch musician, has volunteered to perform for the afternoon.
The new owner, Sara Kelly, is working hard to open the depot in the next few weeks with the help of a crew of amazing, hardworking volunteers. While there is still a lot to tackle on this 120 year old gem, the old building really shines, wait until you see it!
Your donations and bids will help restore the Depot to its original status in the Cambridge community, as a welcoming space for everyone.
Keep an eye on the Facebook page for items donated for the auction.
If you’d like to help out financially, please feel free to send funds by Venmo or Square, the receipt will read sara kelly graphics. Click and hold to open the paywall on phones.
